Roblox UGC Designer

We’re looking for a Roblox-native UGC designer who understands how items live inside a game world — not just how they look in isolation.

This role isn’t about pumping out generic cosmetics or trend-chasing items. It’s about creating UGC that fits the tone, systems, and identity of the game, and adds value instead of noise.

If you think beyond templates, respect constraints, and care about how players actually use and perceive in-game items, this will feel familiar.

Roblox UGC Designer / In-Game Store Assets

Studio: Kinward Studio
Project: Atmospheric, hotel-based Roblox game
Role: Roblox UGC designer / In-Game Store assets
Contract Type: Fixed-price, milestone-based
Compensation: Paid

Role Overview

You will design and deliver custom UGC assets for the in-game store of a narrative-driven Roblox experience.

These items include a mix of gameplay-essential upgrades and cosmetic elements. All assets must align with the game’s tone, systems, and fictional setting. This role is about precision and restraint — not volume production.

The visual direction, world logic, and systems context are already defined. Your task is to execute within those constraints and elevate the experience without diluting it.

What’s Already Provided

  • Clear game tone, setting, and fictional context

  • Moodboards and visual direction

  • Defined use cases for store items (gameplay vs cosmetic)

  • Builder and scripter pipelines already in place

  • Clear iteration targets and feedback loop

You are not expected to:

  • Invent the game’s visual identity

  • Design outside the established world logic

  • Push trend-driven or generic marketplace assets

  • Work in isolation from the rest of the team

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver clean, production-ready UGC assets

  • Create store items used for:

  1. Gameplay upgrades

  2. Cosmetic customization

    Ensure all assets are:

  • Visually consistent with the game world

  • Cleanly structured for builder placement

  • Script-ready for system integration

  • Work from moodboards, references, and concepts

  • Iterate based on in-game testing and feedback

  • Maintain clarity, restraint, and consistency across the asset lineup

Asset Workflow

  • Some assets will be designed from scratch

  • Some will be based on provided concepts or references

  • Iteration is expected — polish matters more than speed

    Assets must integrate smoothly with:

  • Environment builds

  • Gameplay systems

  • Store and progression logic

Style Direction

  • Grounded, atmospheric

  • Old, lived-in hotel feel

  • Gameplay-first environment design

  • Clean, readable, intentional UGC's

Executor Mindset (Important)

This role is for UGC designers who think in context, not quick sellers.

A Roblox UGC Designer should never be someone who is looking for a quick pay-and-go job. We need someone who can place themselves inside a fictional setting, follow ideas and moodboards precisely, add value intentionally, and strengthen the core feel of the game — not dilute it.

If you chase trends, overdesign, or ship generic assets, this role is not a fit.

Requirements

  • Proven Roblox UGC design experience

  • Portfolio or shipped Roblox work required

  • Ability to work from moodboards and constraints

  • Comfortable collaborating with builders and scripters

  • Strong sense of restraint, cohesion, and execution

  • Open to structured feedback and iteration

Skills

  • UGC Design

  • Asset Creation

  • Visual Consistency

  • Iterative Production

Compensation

$200 USD — fixed, non-negotiable

Compensation Details:

  • Payment method: USD / PayPal

  • Covers the first milestone:

    • Initial lineup of custom assets for the in-game store

  • This is not the full project scope

  • Strong delivery may lead to additional paid milestones

  • No rev-share discussions

  • No outside payments
